The Bolivian Jungle Princess

- Maya Espinoza DeGatta, daughter of wealthy silver mine owner Ricardo Julio Manuel DeGatta, nearly lives as royalty in their mining town in the mountainous region of Bolivia. Spending most her entire life in seclusion in the remote rain-forest haven, Maya’s only access to the outside world is the shipments of goods her father orders to keep the town well stocked for the mine workers.

She is the next child in line to inherit the DeGatta family mantle, to become a warrior of the light. A tradition passed down since the days of Spanish exploration, when her ancestors discovered the temple of light during a trek for gold and silver veins.
